Swim Team Practice Starts June 2!

Swim Team practice begins Monday, June 2 (as long as the pool is open).

Practice times are as follows:

• 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.: Advanced and/or Older swimmers
• 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Advanced and/or Experienced Younger Swimmers
• 11:00 a.m. - Noon: All 8 and under and/or 1st year Swimmers

Please Note:

• This year practice times will not be adjusted for other activities (summer camps, VBS, etc.). If your swimmer cannot make the scheduled time slot because of other commitments, they are welcome to swim at another time slot.
• Swimmers can move up time slots depending on work/improvement at any time. Talk to Clif or Katie prior to switching time slots.
• If you don't know which time slot your swimmer should be in, please talk to Clif or Katie.
• With three practices, each lane will have only 3-4 swimmers which will provide better instruction and more time doing strokework.

Volunteer Update!

Thanks to everyone for volunteering as a coordinator for the length of the swim team season or as a member of the Lexington Invitational Committee! Your help is very much appreciated! Without the help of our parents, our swim team and our 2nd annual Invitational would not be such a huge success! Please note - we still need two jobs filled: Facilities Coordinator for the season and Facilities Coordinator for the Invitational. Please, please consider helping out! Thanks!

LEXINGTON LAKERS 2008 Swim Team Information

Age: K-18 Years
Fee: $35 per swimmer ($50-$15 donated from Lexington Jaycees)
Volunteer Deposit: $35 per swimmer (Check refunded after parent volunteers)

Lexington Lakers is a traveling competitive swim team with a schedule of 15 swim meets over 6 weeks (3 weeks in June and 3 weeks in July). The season ends on Saturday, July 19 with the 2nd Annual Lexington Invitational. To be a member of the swim team, participants must be able to swim a full length of the pool (25 yards) without stopping. The age group for each swimmer is based on their age as of June 1, 2008. Practices will begin the week of June 2, 2008 and are held every morning Monday through Friday (times t.bd.). Meets are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and some Saturdays.
